The Thrill of Flight: That's what the Southern Arizona Modelers RC Flying Club is all about! With a spacious 900 foot runway, of which 400' is freshly paved, excellent flying conditions year-round, and convenient proximity to metropolitan Tucson via I-10, SAM is one of the area's most established and fun clubs for flying radio-controlled (RC) model aircraft!

The flying field is located on the isouth-east side of town, adjacent to the Pima County Fairgrounds and Tucson Raceway park. Informal general meetings are held at the flying field typically on the first Sunday of every month at 9 AM. Sundays are usually the busiest flying days, so come out and join us! Spectators welcome!
